* Scroll down for application

Harvest of the Month is an interactive, educational tasting kit program that allows teachers to take the lead on food and farming education. This model allows students to taste fresh, local fruits and vegetables while learning about the farmers who grew them, empowering them to make healthy choices.

HOTM Tasting Kits Details
- Each kit costs $15 and serves an average-sized class (32 students)
- Enough fresh locally grown produce to taste with your class (when possible, a sampling of 2 different varieties)
- A hardcopy educational packet that includes: an identification sheet for the featured produce item, a farmer profile, and the parent newsletter from the Network for a Healthy California
- Each teacher will be provided with 1 HOTM poster to display the featured farmer profile or the featured produce item (to be displayed in the classroom) and 1 starter kit
- 2 monthly reminder emails one week prior to delivery, containing the educational pre-packet and online-only resources to help formulate lessons and activities - the second email is sent the day before the delivery

Terms of Agreement:

To register, we require participation for a minimum of 3 consecutive months and a minimum order of 7 kits per school site each month. If you don't meet the 7 kit minimum, arrangements can be made for you to pick up your kits at a nearby delivery site.

Please note that delivery schedule and featured produce item are subject to change to accommodate for produce availability due to seasonality and weather conditions. School sites will be made aware of any changes in advance. For changes at the school, we ask for at least two weeks advanced notice to avoid incurring costs associated with kit delivery.
