We would love to celebrate your child’s birthday in the fifth grade. As the date approaches, I will send home an email about this celebration (date/time). In lieu of a birthday party in our classroom we have an agent birthday book celebration. Birthday book celebrations are a fun way to foster the joy of reading. The birthday child can help select the book (paperback or hardcover books).

Please write your child’s name and birth date on the inside cover, and wrap the book as a gift. Your child presents the book to the class for reading on the big day! This celebration keeps new books coming into our classroom. It is the gift that keeps on giving! I will put a special bookplate in the book, honoring the event. Children come back year after year to find their special book!
