UNA-USA 2019 Campus Lobby Day: Sign Up By Dec. 6
Globally-minded student leaders in the D.C. area are invited to participate in the United Nations Association-USA (UNA-USA) Campus Lobby Day on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. This year, UNA-USA will be focusing on a defining issue of our time - Climate Change.

What is a Campus Lobby Day?

The UNA-USA Campus Lobby Day gives students the opportunity to meet with their Members of Congress to advocate for a strong U.S.-UN partnership.

How will I be prepared?

Students receive an advocacy training before the scheduled meetings. In addition, students will be accompanied by a staff member from the United Nations Foundation throughout the Lobby Day.

Is there a specific issue that we will be focusing on?

In addition to advocating for a strong U.S-UN partnership, students will be given the opportunity to urge their Members of Congress to publicly oppose the administration's decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris Agreement.

Why should I participate in the Campus Lobby Day?

This is an excellent leadership opportunity for students to gain skills and get an insider’s perspective on the legislative process. If you register for the Campus Lobby Day, it is very important you commit to attending because you may be the only constituent from your hometown or state that we have scheduled a meeting for.

PLEASE NOTE: Last minute cancellations will highly impact the quality of the meetings and our advocacy efforts. We ask that you commit 100% to attending if you sign up here, or let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to attend.

What is the schedule?

On Tuesday, December 10, participants should plan to arrive no later than 8:45 am to grab breakfast and participate in the advocacy training. We will walk in groups to our meetings on Capitol Hill, and meetings will end by 12:00 pm.
