REMEMBER for graduation you need  the following:
4 YEARS of ENGLISH
4 YEARS of a HISTORY class (AVID in ninth grade counts for your 9th grade history class)
3 YEARS of MATH ( MATH I, II, III) 4 years recommended
2 YEARS of science BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY OR PHYSICS  (3 years recommended)
2 YEARS of PE
2 YEARS of a FOREIGN LANGUAGE
1 YEAR of a VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS (VAPA)
1 semester of Health
7 semesters of electives (any class taken above the minimum requirements) ex: 3rd year of science or 2nd year of VAPA

Honors & AP classes are rigorous courses that require more time and attention.  By selecting an AP or Honors course you understand the advance level work and are willing and prepared to devote the extra time needed in those classes.
