ASM are happy to announce a new monthly social drop-in initiative for autistic adults who are currently looking for work - Monthly Job Club Social (drop-in).
What is it?
- An open and safe virtual space for participants to check in with others and share job-searching experiences, share small wins and receive peer support.
-The key aim is to reduce feelings of isolation and create opportunities for connection for participants.
Who is it for?
- Autistic adults (18+) who have a diagnosis or are actively seeking one.
- Residents of England & Wales.
- Unemployed individuals (or those working no more than 5 hours per week in paid employment)
How will it run? The group will be organised and facilitated by an ASM autism mentor, offering prompts for discussion to support communication. It will be delivered on a drop-in basis. Meeting information will be sent out 1 week and 24 hours before each session. It will run on Zoom.
When? The group will run between 4-5 pm on the third Wednesday of every month. This group will run until September 2025.
Cost? Free of charge. Generously funded by Autism Forward. Participation is not compulsory every month, you are invited to join as and when it suits you on a month to month basis.
One you have completed this form, we will email you to confirm if you have met the eligibility requirements. If you have, we will add you to our mailing list each month for the group.
