BAUM TenPers  Institute is partnering with a group of universities and a major donor to provide scholarships for African students to pursue a PhD in AI and Machine Learning.

During the doctoral program, students will conduct research under the supervision of faculty members at the participating universities in Africa and Europe. This will culminate in a joint PhD degree.

Requirements

To qualify for scholarships, candidates must meet the requirements:

4. Be ready to use your acquired skills and degree to advance Africa

How to apply

The first of many stages is to provide a strong expression of interest by sending your CV, cover letter, bachelor's transcript and degree, master's transcript and degree, and a research proposal (if you have one). Send these documents by email to padyrand@gmail.com and iyanten9@gmail.com and copy  uk@baumtenpers.com

Selection process

Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in online assessments which will cover basic mathematics and statistics/econometrics. Applicants must pass this test to progress. The final selection will be based on a combination of factors that include performance in the online assessment, quality of and grades in previous degree(s), gender (desired ratio is 75% females and 25% males), previous exposure to AI, and relevance of research proposal (for those who submit one).

Additional
