The Adrian Gnam International Conductors Workshop and Competition is held annually in Atlanta, Georgia.
This popular, intensive, well- attended, and
well-respected workshop and competition is open to a limited number of conductors
at all levels of experience and is based on the techniques of Monteux, Musin, and
Szell. ICWC’s three dedicated Maestros are Philip Greenberg, Gregory Pritchard, and Chelsea Tipton II. Each participant will conduct at each of the five three-hour rehearsals for up to 60
minutes and at a public performance on Martin Luther King Day. A major benefit will
include the selection of up to three winners and one guest conducting opportunity with the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra (GA). Professional HD video of every session and performance will be provided to each participant.
There is no application fee. If accepted to the workshop, the fee is $1550 with $500 is due upon acceptance and the balance is due by January 1st. Auditor fees are $150 to attend the sessions as an observer. Lodging and food are provided by the participants, however a discounted rate at a nearby hotel will be offered for all participants and auditors. Applications will be accepted until the workshop is filled, however those submitted before November 15th will receive priority.
