Mental Health First Aid Registration

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing is a nationally recognized program that teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges.

About the training:

  • Mental Health First Aid training is being offered free of charge
  • Current courses are being held virtually via Zoom
  • Courses are made possible by the Mental Health Awareness and Training grant awarded to William Paterson University through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration 
  • Upon completing the course, participants will receive a Youth Mental Health First Aid certificate 

Requirements:

  • Participants must be fully available and able to fully engage during the course hours on the scheduled training date; breaks and rests will be given throughout the day
  • Participants must complete 2 hours of online pre-work before attending the scheduled training date, which will be sent to you through Connect Mental Health First Aid

Registration for each course is limited to 30 participants, but a waitlist will be available, and additional dates will be scheduled as interest dictates.
