Fundraiser Involvement

As the SSC we fundraise and organize fundraisers and the needed volunteers for events that are not covered by the Blue side( in other words funds, supplies and people from the military branch).

These types of thing can include:

-Rent and bills

-some travel expenses

-maintenance on transportation

-digital expenditures

-technological expenses such as upgrades to computers used or website maintenance

-Mess dinners

-Rental of facilities for sports nights

-awards and certificates

-miscellaneous expenditures for special events and activities

This means that our volunteering and fundraising is a very important part to keep the squadron running seamlessly for all at little to no cost to any cadet wanting to participate. We do monthly fundraisers so that we never have to put financial burden onto the cadet and Parents to do the things necessary to run the squadron. Because of this we ask parents to volunteer for SSC side events and to fundraiser with the different fundraisers each month.

As we all have schedules and life outside of cadets the SSC has decided to make a tentative schedule of fundraisers for the whole year not month by month. This in turn will, we hope, allow parents to plan and organize, to be at events to volunteer, or fundraise to help the outcomes of these fundraisers. That being said, we request if at all possible that at least one parent from each FAMILY, not per cadet, does any of the following ways to help participate to make things easier.

  1. Do one shift of volunteering at a parent volunteering  fundraiser or event.

  2. Do fundraising through fundraisers or sponsorships from around town of $200

  3. Donate $200 to opt out of the above two options.

This being said this is a minimum request we have, we will never turn down more because time, volunteers and participation is always welcome.
