As a member of the human family, we invite you to Washington D.C. to learn how to bring the good news of peace and justice to policymakers in government and leaders of your own community. By participating in the Columban Center's "Advocacy Immersion Program," you will:
---deepen your spirituality in the Columban tradition and through Catholic social teaching.---expand your knowledge of the Columban's four priority issue areas (economic justice, environmental justice, migration, and peace and demilitarization).---equip yourself with the tools for advocacy and community organizing you need to make positive change in the world.
*Similar to a "mission trip," the Columban Center asks that participants fundraise a portion of the cost of the program. We believe this is an excellent opportunity to get your faith or other community involved in your trip. If you would like to brainstorm fundraising ideas with our office, please feel free to contact Wesley Cocozello at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We don't want the cost of the program to be prohibitive. Please let us know if you have any financial limitations or concerns.
