On Saturday, November 29 + Sunday, November 30, we're bringing the classic game "Hungry Hippos" to life on the ice at The Rink in Centennial Commons in Downtown Royal Oak!

Teams of 4 will compete on tubes on The Rink with baskets to grab as many plastic balls as they can in 2 minutes. All team members will need to sign a waiver at registration. Teens must have a parent available to sign the waiver. 

FOOTWEAR REQUIREMENTS: All team members must be wearing winter boots or tennis shoes - no ice skates allowed.

1 Tube Rider: This person will lay on their belly on the tube and be pushed into the center of the ice by their teammates to collect the balls

2 Tube Pushers: These people will push the person on the tube on the ice to collect the balls and then pull them back with a rope to put the collected balls in their bin

1 Ball Collector: This person will grab the balls from the Tube Rider and place them in their team's collection bin

Competition Time: 10am

Check-in Time: 9am and all teams must be checked in by 9:30am

Grand Prize: Weekend at the Soaring Eagle Waterpark

Restrictions: 2 of the team members (pushing the tube), must be 16 or older, the team member on the tube must be under 12 years old, no age restrictions on team member helping collect the balls into your bin!
