Over the summer you are invited to share your ideas and dreams for the future of MayDay at a series of Artist Charrettes -- collaborative sessions in which a group of artists and creatives map solutions
Dameun Strange and Imagine Deliver will lead 3 hands-on art activities centering the voices of artists to map solutions and act as a launch pad for the creation of an Imagine MayDay Transition Team. These gatherings are open house style, come and go as you are able.
Tuesday, July 9, 6:30-8pm: Pillsbury House TheatreSunday, July 14, 10:30am-12pm: HOBTWednesday, July 17, 2:30-4pm: Powderhorn Park
Artist participants will be compensated for their time and contributions with either 3 hours of free rehearsal or workshop space at HOBT, or a $40 gift card to either Welna Hardware or MayDay Cafe.
We are particularly interested in hearing from past and present MayDay artists, artists who have felt left out of the MayDay process, Southside artists, BIPOC artists, queer & nonbinary artists, artists with disabilities, and neighborhood and community organizations in the Phillips and Powderhorn neighborhoods.
These sessions are intended for artists; if you are not an artist but would like to give input please contact Dameun Strange to set up a 1to1 interview, or fill out our input survey here: http://bit.ly/imaginemayday
