Student User Agreement for Chromebook & Network Use
I will take good care of my Chromebook and accessories.
I will never leave my Chromebook unattended.
I will know where my Chromebook is at all times and not loan it out.
I will charge my Chromebook completely before the beginning of the school day.
I will keep food and beverages away from my Chromebook.
I will protect my Chromebook by keeping it in a secure place.
I will use my Chromebook in ways that are appropriate, meet Osakis Public School’s expectations, and are educational in nature.
I will not deface labels or place decorations (such as stickers, markers, etc.) on the Chromebook or accessories.
I understand that my Chromebook is subject to inspection at any time without notice and remains the property of the Osakis School District.
I will follow the policies outlined in the Chromebook Initiative Handbook and Internet Use Policy at all times.
I will file a police report in case of theft or vandalism.
I will be responsible for loss and damages caused by neglect or abuse.
I agree to return the district Chromebook and accessories in excellent working condition. I understand that I am responsible for the replacement cost of the Chromebook and accessories.
I will not utilize unauthorized photos, video, and/or audio recordings of myself or any other person in an inappropriate manner.
I will not disassemble or attempt any repairs on my Chromebook.
I will not install, delete or update apps, extensions or operating systems unless instructed to do so by the technology department.

When my Chromebook is used off campus In the event of accidental damage, students and parents will be responsible for covering the cost of repairs.
Network Use and Online Curriculum Information
As a user of Independent School District 213’s network, I hereby agree to comply with the rules stated in the Network User Agreement Policy Policy (available on our website), communicating over the network in an appropriate fashion while honoring all relevant laws, rules, and restrictions. Should I commit any violation, my access privileges may be revoked, school disciplinary action may be taken and/or appropriate legal action may be taken.

As a parent or legal guardian, I grant permission for my child to access network services such as Google and other Internet services. I understand that individuals and families may be held liable for violations of school policy or statutes that my child may commit. I understand that some materials on the Internet may be objectionable,
but I accept responsibility for guidance on Internet use - setting and conveying standards for my child to follow when selecting, sharing or exploring information and media on the school network
 
The Osakis School District utilizes Google Suite for Education as well as other Google connected sites for students, teachers, and staff. This permission form describes the tools and corresponding information for using these services. As with any educational endeavor, a strong partnership with families is essential to a successful experience.
 
The following services include some of the services available to each student and are hosted by Google as part of Osakis District’s online presence in Google Suite for Education:
 
Mail - an individual email account for school use managed by the Osakis School District.
Calendar – an individual calendar providing the ability to organize schedules, daily activities and assignments.
Classroom - used to store and access classroom information.
Docs – a word processing, spreadsheet, drawing and presentation tool-set that is very similar to Microsoft Office.
Sites – an individual and collaborative website creation tool.
 
Using these tools, students collaboratively create, edit and share files and websites for school-related projects and communicate via email with other students and teachers. These services are entirely online and available 24/7 from any Internet-connected device.
 
I understand that by participating in the Google Suite for Education and other Google connected sites, my child will have the ability to store and collect his/her classroom information electronically. I understand that my student’s classroom information stored online may be accessible to someone other than my student and the Osakis School District by virtue of the online environment. I understand that I may ask for my child’s account to be removed at any time.
