Build Institute, in cooperation with the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy is proud and excited to offer programming at the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard for Spring/Summer 2018!

Created in partnership with the Build Institute, the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, Lawrence Technological University, Groundswell, and Ponyride, the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard (DCFY) site is a weekend gathering space that features structures made out of repurposed shipping containers. Located along the greenway between Wilkins and Division Streets, the DCFY features refreshments, entertainment, retail and a unique pedestrian market where local vendors can display and sell their wares. Funding for the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard is made possible in part through the support of the Kresge Foundation, the Knight Foundation, Ford Motor Company Fund, and the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan.

Programming for DCFY's 2018 season will feature the Build Bazaar weekend market, DJs and live performances, as well as a regular food and beverage offering in The HUB, the focal point structure of the DCFY site.

Vendors should be able to expect traffic from Eastern Market's Saturday Market, which runs year long and the Sunday Street Market which operates from June to September. The Dequindre Cut Greenway itself sees traffic of upwards of 300-400K visitors during the summer months.
