Track Captains:Application for Track Captains due January 31st, 2019
A Track Captain is the owner of a program track at Global Entrepreneurship Week. Tracks are session themes for the five day window. A track can be very broad or specific. An example of a broad track is a development track which could include panels, workshops or speakers on software development. However, Robotics is a specific track which could include sessions all related to Robotics. The audiovisual needs for each session are defined in advance so that the Organizer Team can plan accordingly. Track Captains recruit volunteers to support their sessions (check ins, set up, tear down, refill drinks/snacks as needed). They also serve as the liaison between the organizer team and the session speakers. If needed, they remove themselves and allow direct contact to facilitate the planning process.
Track Captain Responsibilities: ● Outline potential sessions and recruit speakers for the track ● Recruit track volunteers and vet for skills needed (meet and greet, session intro, setup and break-down, rover, etc.) ● Contribute to #GEW2019 media plan including content (talking points, stories, blog posts, etc), specific media targets, and calendar to assure optimal coverage of the track ● Communicate status to Organizer Team ● Work with participating organizations to promote the event ● Guarantee that selected venues meet requirements and communicate venue set-ups to speakers.
