NCLTS Project 1096 Wait List Application
Hello! We are excited you are applying to join the wait list to purchase a home in Project 1096.  

Project 1096 offers discounted home ownership to lower income households and provides an alternative option to the current market-driven model. The homes are sold at these lower prices subject to legal restrictions that limit your future resale price. It is important you understand these commitments explained further on our FAQ page here.

Please refer to the household income eligibility criteria for each home listed in our brochure here and in the table below. In addition, your household:

  • must not already own a home
  • must not have assets that exceed the maximum applicable to the unit you are buying
  • must have been resident in the Yukon for a minimum of one year
  • size must at minimum match the number of bedrooms (e.g. 2 people in 2-bed home)

  • Our wait list will be held strictly in order of application. If a home becomes available for purchase, it will be offered on a first-eligible-applicant basis. If the applicant then does not complete the Eligibility Validation and Proof of Financing requirements by the deadline provided (approx. 2 weeks from application) then the offer will be cancelled and the home offered to the next applicant on the wait list.

    Any eligible household can apply for any home but Barrier-Free homes will be prioritized to households with identified need for these accommodations prior to sale to other households.

    The Household Income Cap applicable to each home is 2024 Total Income Before Deductions referenced from Line 15000 of your 2024 Tax Return. This is the sum of the total income Line 15000 for all adult members of the household.

    Please confirm that your total household 2024 Total Income Before Deductions is less than the income cap applicable to the homes for which you are applying.

    (You will be required to present your tax returns later in the eligibility validation process if you are selected from the wait list and are offered a home).

    Please note that

    1. It is a Criminal Code offence to make a false Statutory Declaration;

    2. NCLTS will be relying on the information provided in this Statutory Declaration

    3. If NCLTS finds that any of the information provided in the Statutory Declaration was false at the time the Declaration was made, NCLTS may reject the Applicant’s application to purchase a Unit.

    Please confirm that you understand your household to be eligible under all the criteria in the final draft Statutory Declaration and that you would truthfully sign the Statutory Declaration to confirm this.

    (You will only be required to sign the final Statutory Declaration later in the eligibility validation process if you are successful in the lottery and are offered a home).
