CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2020 AfDB CODING FOR EMPLOYMENT (CfE) PROGRAM - BASIC LEVEL TRAINING
The AfDB, together with the Rockefeller Foundation, Microsoft and Facebook has launched the Coding for Employment (CfE) program which aims to prepare African youth for the future jobs by providing them with a demand-driven Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills alongside entrepreneurship and employability training.
This is in line with the Bank's Jobs for Youth in Africa (JfYA) strategy (2016-2025) which targets that by 2025, the Job for Youths in Africa Initiative will equip more than 50 million African youth with employable skills and create 25 million jobs in agriculture, ICTs and other related industries.
We will be launching the basic ICT program for Kenyan youth (aged 15-35) in 3 weeks time. You will learn how to use various Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and will receive a globally-recognized Microsoft certificate for every module you complete and pass successfully. Your ICT training will also be complemented by training in entrepreneurship and critical life skills for your success in the workplace or managing your own business.
