This fireside chat organised by Club Alpbach Belgium Brussels aims to bring the Alpbach spirit to Brussels. Originating from the annual European Forum Alpbach nestled in the Austrian alps, this spirit encompasses reflection and action. It brings together young people from all over the world with the most innovative minds from politics, business, civil society, culture, and science to drive ideas for a strong and democratic Europe. 

Club Alpbach Belgium Brussels invites you to an inspiring fireside chat about the establishment of a Future Generations Commissioner, to address the pressing challenges of our time.

Discussion Topics:

  • The Need for Future-focused Governance: why integrating future generations' interests into decision-making is crucial.

  • The Role of a Future Generations Commissioner: the potential responsibilities and impact of such a role within the EU framework.

  • Building a Sustainable Future: how prioritizing the interests of future generations can contribute to sustainability and equity, and more.
