Gresham-Barlow is proud to participate in the Patricia Gallagher Children's Choice Picture Book Award project sponsored by the Portland Reading Council and the Oregon State Literacy Association.

The award honors Patrica Gallagher, beloved WOU professor of children's literature. Books are read in classrooms and libraries across Oregon, and students vote for their favorite book out of five nominated titles. In the 2024-25 school year, 12,927 children voted.

We have one set of the nominated books available to loan to schools.

Guidelines

• Checkout time is four weeks from the date you receive the book set.

• Book sets will be sent and returned in the district courier.

• Please take special care of the books and return them in the envelope provided.

• Each student votes for their favorite book. Turn in your votes by May 1, 2026.

• Additional details will be included with the book set.
