Beltline Fridge - Volunteer Sign Up
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Beltline Fridge located at 221 12 Ave SW, Calgary AB T2R 0G9.

Sign up for a weekly volunteer shift to clean and check-in, or pick up and drop off food and essentials for the Beltline Fridge.

Volunteer Responsibilities - Cleaning & Daily Check-In:
(15-30min) 
  1. Use provided cleaning supplies to clean the inside of the fridge, pantry shelves, and high touch areas such as doors.
  2. Check the surroundings and pick up any garbage, break down cardboard boxes, and dispose of them in the appropriate containers.
  3. Check the temperatures for the fridge, freezer, and thermostats and log this on the clipboard
  4. Reorganize and rotate food and essential items for easy access and to ensure that older items are used first.
  5. Check food for expiry dates, mold, or damaged items, and remove unacceptable items.
  6. Take a photo of the current inventory and send it to us so we can share it on our socials.
  7. Report if any of the following concerns: 
  • Unable to remove the garbage/recycling from the fridge
  • Loss of power
  • Any visible damages or access concerns (something is obstructing access)
  • Cleaning supplies are running low
Volunteer Responsibilities - Donation Pick up & Drop Off:
(30-90min depending on location)
  1. Pick up food and/or essential items for the fridge. 
  2. Stock the fridge and pantry. 
  3. Take a photo of the current inventory and send it to us so we can share it on our socials.
