2026-2027 Private Lesson Enrollment Form
ABOUT PRIVATE LESSONS
-Private lessons are a once weekly session, designed to take place each week for entire school year.
-Lessons are one half of the class period.  Students can also opt to take a full class period lesson. 
-Lessons are $25 per half-class lesson. 
-Lessons are NOT a tutoring service for students who do not practice.  
-Lessons ARE a personal training session with a professional musician meant to help your child advance his or her musical ability.
-Students enrolled in private lessons are expected to practice each week and come to lessons prepared.
-All Reynolds private lesson teachers have been vetted through the school district as highly qualified educators with college degrees specific to your child's instrument.
-Most lesson staff members have their own lesson sign-up page that allow families to schedule weekly lessons as well as provides an online billing option for everyone's convenience.  This is separate from the Reynolds Band lesson enrollment form and varies by teacher.  Many teachers will not teach until this agreement has been signed.  Teachers will begin lessons promptly once all paperwork has been signed by the parent.  
-Many lesson teachers have their own lesson policy agreement forms.  These should be turned in directly to the lesson teacher - not the band directors.
-All lesson payments should be made directly to the lesson teachers in a timely manner according to the agreement made between the parents and the lesson teacher.  The band directors cannot hold money for the lesson teachers.  
-Lesson teachers reserve the right to end a lesson contract if 2 or more payments are missed.  Refusal to pay can result in Reynolds Director of Bands and/or administrative involvement.  
-If for any reason there is a 2 or more week delay in lessons taking place, please let a band director know asap. 
-Often, private lesson teachers perform professionally on their instrument!  Students are highly encouraged to watch their private lesson teacher perform if the opportunity is available.  

SCHOLARSHIPS
-There are limited partial scholarships available each year for families who cannot afford the full price, which can be found in the annual Band Registration forms.  Applications are accepted until the Band Registration due date and are reviewed by the directors and PBBC after Band Registration closes. 
-Please contact Ms. Taylor directly for information about how to enroll in the Private Lesson Scholarship program if you are in need of assistance.
