If you are receiving this, it means that you are 1) a musician that is currently or has previously rented a practice space and 2) someone whose opinion I highly value (or were forwarded this by someone whose opinion I highly value!).
If you don't know me, my name is James Yelen and I am a Chicago-based affordable housing professional and amateur musician. I am currently exploring the idea of creating a multi-use music space that caters to the preferences and priorities of musicians in the Chicago area. The concept includes several (likely 8-12) music rehearsal studios of various sizes and configurations, offered at accessible prices and with the kinds of amenities prioritized by artists and musicians. If you could please fill out this brief survey about your experience in past and current music rehearsal spaces, it would be incredibly helpful to me as I try to figure out the best way to serve Chicago’s music community.
