The Government of Karnataka has under its Karnataka Biotechnology Policy 2017-2022 provided for instituting funding mechanisms and mentorship programmes for biotech start-ups to stimulate innovations and discoveries that would benefit the society and boost growth in bioeconomy. Also, to have strategic collaborations with leading biotech clusters around the globe aimed at accessing biotech resources from developed clusters.
