Little Anthology of Resilience Stories is a workshop that bridges the social context (living under polycrisis, capitalism, and white supremacy culture) to the value of resilience practice in community building - the theme of Oslo Zine Fest.
Feeling into our body is a direct resistance to the
systemic desensitization, numbing, dissociation that serves to uphold
systems of oppression. Community building requires resilience. This
vital nutrient in our somatic eco-systems opens possibilities to stay
with and build capacity for complex feelings.
This is a 4h facilitated and immersive zine workshop to create an anthology of our resilience stories. Participants will be invited to try on body-based practices (sensing and feeling) during our collective brainstorm, potentially connecting us to the languages of our bodies as opposed to only thinking and speaking.
This workshop is for people :- with some creative practice to share their creative skills into creating this zine anthology
- who are interested in the framing of the workshop
- who already have material (words, visual) that fit the framing of the workshop and want to use this as an opportunity to continue that work.

KEY INFORMATIONPlace: JAM Collective, Claus Riis’ Gate 2.
Time: 12:00 - 16:00. To maximise time together, please plan accordingly to arrive at 12. Feel free to come earlier.
PLEASE COME 15 mins early if you plan to take a covid test on site instead of wearing a mask*
*We want to acknowledge that since we are going into the winter season and we'll be having this session indoors, we strongly encourage mask wearing to allow the space to be more accessible. Therefore we will have covid-kits and masks available. Therefore, please come 15 minutes early if you plan to take the test instead of wearing a mask.
Accessibility: There are three steps leading up to the entrance. The building dates back to the 1950s, and because the street is on an incline, our entryway is elevated. The toilet is quite small and not suited for wheelchair access. We apologise for this lack of universality.
This will be a small group and we will hold a waitlist in case we go past capacity. Please RSVP by November 29. An email confirming you spot and more detailed information will come by a couple days after.
