Stone Robot Community Art Garden
Hello friends and loved ones! We are applying for an Urbana Arts & Culture Grant to transform our front yard into something beautiful, and we are asking you for help!

Our vision is to take our big corner lot and provide:

Healthy, local food for the community free of charge
Plants for pollinators
Space for artists of all types to perform and show their talents
Something pretty to look at when folks are riding the Green line

Because of the nature of our project, we won't have 'work samples' like traditional artists, but we do have talented friends who want to help make Urbana more awesome! We want to be able to show the selection panel that we have the means to bring this idea to completion so if you are able to help out in any way, please read on, dear friend!

Builders & Planners
If we are funded, we have from April 2019 to April 2020 to complete the project. April - May will be the building and planning phase where we get the bones of the garden laid out, get things in the dirt, and make anything we envision.
Oh heck yes, I want to help make this happen! You can count on me for:

If you can help, how many hours do you think you could provide? (This will help us when writing the grant application.)
Connecting with the Community
Once the garden is growing, we will have performances as a way to invite the community into the space. These will ideally be in June, July, August, and September.

We are REALLY not looking to create more places for straight-cis-able-white folks and preference will be given to those from minoritized groups.
I want to help with this part (too)! I can...
