Friends of Nelson One Day NO PIPELINE Workshop
SIGN UP BELOW FOR THE ONE DAY WORKSHOP IN NELSON COUNTY, VIRGINIA ON LAND THREATENED BY THE ATLANTIC COAST PIPELINE.

The biggest regional land-clearing project since the federal highway program of the 1960s is now underway in Virginia. In order to build the Atlantic Coast and Mountain Valley pipelines, Dominion Energy and EQT are targeting vulnerable communities, destroying precious ecosystems, and threatening the livelihoods of Virginians far and wide.

The one day workshop is on Saturday April 13th from 9am to 6pm. The workshop’s focus is to bring citizens up to speed on the current state of fight against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and to further inform and educate them on specific pipeline issues. Besides a list of speakers and topics below we will have nearby guided tours of the proposed route, exercises on how to protest safely and a group discussion on the path forward for those opposed to this 7.8 billion dollar boondoggle project.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch and a camp chair to sit in. The event will take place on the Averitt’s property where the pipeline is proposed to cross. The location is south of Nellysford, VA across from Bold Rock Cider. Directions are listed below. The event is free however all participants are encouraged to preregister by clicking on the button below.
