Parental Consent Form for Volunteering
Please fill in this form if your child or dependant of 12-15 years wishes to volunteer without a parent or carer. When we have received your form we will ring you to confirm.

Your child will also need to fill in the online form at this link to apply for a volunteer placement.

We are grateful for your child/dependent’s interest in volunteering at Horton Community Farm (HCF). Jonathan, who runs the volunteer sessions, is DBS checked and has over 20 years experience of running volunteer sessions in food growing and conservation. He is also experienced in working with children through child minding and running children's craft activities.

Information for parents and carers
Horton Community Farm (HCF) aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for every child or young person. To help us do this, please note the following important information.
  • Parents and carers must ensure they notify us of any changes to the information given on the form.
  • Parents and carers must make arrangements for children to be brought to and from the volunteer session safely. If a parent or carer is not able to collect their child, they need to let us know in advance who will be doing so.
  • We cannot take responsibility for any damaged clothing and/or personal items during the volunteer session.
  • Parents and carers should ensure children have sufficient water, food, clothing, sun lotion and medication (where appropriate) for the duration of the volunteer session.
Volunteering Activities
Site maintenance & food growing e.g. planting, harvesting, watering, digging, weeding, cutting back, mowing & hedge trimming etc.
