Guylaine will provide an overview of the rules of racing, requirements for running a coastal regatta, and tips and techniques for rowing and racing in wind and waves. Bonnie will tell us about her rowing touring adventures in Italy, Ireland and New Zealand.
Saturday June 22, 2019, 3:30 to 5:00pm - On Water Session - Free to attendTry out rowing the coastal singles and doubles. Guylaine will be in the coach boat while we practice coastal rowing techniques. Other boats will be available for rowing the beautiful waters of Prince's Inlet, while we share time in the coastal boats.
Sunday June 23 2019, 9:00am to 12pm - Row a Coastal Course - $25 registration includes 2 flights and a lunch.Row the course off Bachman's Beach, at the tip of Second Peninsula for fun and to practice racing techniques. Registration is limited to 24 participants, allowing everyone to row the course twice. For those unable to attend Saturday afternoon's session to learn about coastal racing rules, Guylaine will provide a quick overview before the first flight. Lunch provided at the Beach.
