State Policy Committee: Can assist the State Policy Director with reaching out to legislators, writing legislation briefs, generating legislation ideas, etc. Responsibilities up to the discretion of the director.
State Events Director: Tasked with organizing and managing events for the state. Includes creating the agenda, finding the venue, and reaching out to speakers.
State Events Committee: Responsibilities up to the discretion of the director.
State Outreach Director: Tasked with recruiting participants for state events, and recruiting new members for the organization.
State Outreach Committee: Responsibilities up to the discretion of the director.
State Communications Director: Tasked with managing the state social media accounts and collaborating with the Outreach Director to expand our reach.
State Special Projects Director: Works on establishing partnerships with organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, etc. They are meant to be the jack of all trades who can expand AYA’s scope.
State Special Projects Committee: Responsibilities up to the discretion of the director.
Local Policy Director: Focuses on collaborating with local governments on local issues. And manages the Local Policy Regional Directors. This would include city or county level policies, creating local youth councils, local outreach, etc. Think of this as a grassroots position.
Local Policy Regional Director: One of the several regional directors who will focus on their own region and may have their own committees.
State Finance Director: Help manage state funds and fundraise for events, scholarships, or any other project. Fundraising can include: establishing relationships with local and national businesses for sponsorships, applying for grants, organizing local fundraisers, or any other idea you have.
State Finance Committee: Responsibilities up to the discretion of the director.
