Have you ever sat on a beach to watch the sunrise? or the sunset? Have you noticed how the ocean acts as if it is breathing? The waves rush in to meet the sand and are pulled back out by the horizon. We are called into the presence of God to live and breathe. We are called to dwell and have fellowship with Him. Job 33:4 tells us that the Spirit of God has made you and that the breath of the Almighty GIVES US LIFE!
Splendid by the Sea will be a place to unwind, walk on the beach, watch the sunrise, and listen to GOD.
There will be late night laugh-ins and junk food fests. We will make memories and forge friendships that will last a lifetime. WE will dwell in the presence of the Most High and focus on BEING VULNERABLE to GOD and to each other.
Splendid by the Sea will be the third Splendid retreat in a year! Are you kidding? When God says YES, he says it loudly!!!
It is my honor to personally invite you to join us by the sea this November. I love each and every one of you and am so very proud to call you my friend. God is at work in you even when you may not see it, feel it or want it. He has a distinct plan for your heart and your life. Let Splendid be part of that journey and come ready to BE free, BE found, and BE loved.
You are Splendid & Lovely, Tracy

The Assembly prohibits all of the following items in an effort to make Caswell a safe and peaceful place for all who visit: alcoholic beverages, narcotics, firearms (sorry, Texas gals), fireworks, skateboards (Tracy!), portable stereos (does anyone own one of these anymore, much less travel with it?), metal detectors (our treasure is in heaven, y'all), pets (stuffed are okay), water guns, water balloons, and shaving cream fights (we're looking at you, Lynn).
The busy river is not a safe swimming area. The mile of secluded beach has a designated safe swimming area with a boardwalk to cross the dunes. The beach has lifeguards only during the summer months. All other months are swim at your own risk. (There may be a prize for anyone with the gumption to swim in the Atlantic in November.)
The historic forts and batteries provide opportunities to view and connect with a part of US history, but they were constructed over a century ago for military use and without modern safety considerations. As such, there are sudden drops, uneven surfaces, and a number of other hazards that should be considered before exploration by any person or group. (No high heels in the fort, ladies.) During the day, guests are allowed to explore at their own risk, however, Fort Caswell prohibits access to the structures after sunset to anyone.
Fort Caswell is not equipped to serve guests with severe food allergies and as such guests with severe food allergies should provide their own food for their safety.
If you are not then directed to a confirmation screen with a link to pay your deposit, something may have been missed. Please take a moment to go back through and check your responses.
Please contact Rachel Bruce at email@example.com with any technical questions regarding this form. Thanks, and we will see you at the beach!
