As Area Director, you have one of the most important jobs within the District. As the direct link between clubs and the District, you contribute to the success of the District by serving and supporting your clubs. It's your opportunity to enhance your own communication and leadership skills while giving back to your Toastmasters community.
Responsibilities- Visit each club in your area at least twice, ideally more often; submit report with observations- Maintain regular contact with club officers; identify and share improvement opportunities- Conduct area level contests [District Leaders including Area Directors are ineligible to compete]- Motivate clubs to provide a memorable member experience, enhancing growth and retention- Assist your area and the clubs in it to earn Distinguished recognition- Attend District Executive Committee (DEC) meetings and training 4-6 times during the year
