Each year, Michigan Farm Bureau hosts the High School Discussion Meet competition for high school students active in FFA, 4-H, and Farm Bureau member dependents. The purpose of the Discussion Meet is to build students’ public speaking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, while exposing them to the agriculture industry’s largest challenges and the organization of Michigan Farm Bureau.
Registration opens on September 1st and ends one week prior to your specific region's competition date. Each FFA chapter, 4-H club, and county Farm Bureau can register up to three competitors.
The top three competitors from each regional competition will move on to compete at the State High School Discussion Meet held on Wednesday, November 29th in Grand Rapids during the Michigan Farm Bureau State Annual Meeting.
