Music Service Learning Request
Tell us about your need and how we might help serve you and/or your organization. This is open to all people needing help through and with music including teachers, community program directors, parents, public service employees, etc.
What is/are the general area(s) of your request
Please briefly describe your need:
Do you envision the collegiate student working online directly with children under the age of 18?
By checking this box, I agree for MSL use my name, story, photo, and other media materials for promotional and educational purposes on their social media accounts and website.
What to expect:
After you submit this form, we will assign one or two collegiate music education students to your case. These students will contact you to get more information, and then devise and help you implement a plan. Collegiate professors will monitor these interactions and help as needed, but the purpose of this collaboration is to give these students the opportunity to creatively solve problems without specific instruction from a professor. You may guide the students toward a solution you prefer but need help organizing, or you may allow the student to present you with two or three options of their own devising. If you feel that the collaboration is not working, you are under no obligation to continue.
If you would like to the collegiate students to work with children under the age of 18 (e.g. give a live virtual lesson), parent consent for each child MUST be part of the protocol.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
