A Faithful Response to TrumpCare
The following statement is no longer open for signatures. Thank you to everyone who signed.
As a person of faith...
I believe that access to comprehensive and affordable health care is both a right and a moral imperative. My faith teaches me to care for those in need, consider the welfare of all people, and side with those who are poor, marginalized, and vulnerable. Denying health care to millions of people contradicts my faith.

I oppose any measures that roll back the expansion of Medicaid, deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions, restrict coverage for abortion care, or defund Planned Parenthood. My faith teaches me to pursue justice and health for all people.

I believe that stripping access to health care from millions of people is immoral and unjust. The changes included in the proposed TrumpCare plan would be catastrophic for millions of Americans, disproportionately affecting those already on the margins of our society, including poor people, people of color, and LGBTQ people. My faith compels me to speak out against such injustice.

I call on all elected officials to heed the voices of people of faith and moral conscience: oppose any measure that compromises access to comprehensive, affordable health care for all.
