Success4All is a small educational charity based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
We have received funding from the Ogden Trust to run our new Space STEM Challenge for FREE at 10 primary schools in the North East, between January 2023 and July 2023.
The free STEM Challenge will be allocated to schools that have not received a free STEM Challenge in the last 12 months and will be limited to one free STEM Challenge per school.
Our Space STEM Challenge will explore key learning from the KS2 primary science curriculum, including Light, Forces, and Earth and Space. We will investigate how eclipses are created, the differences between the planets, and the method that the James Webb Space Telescope is using to photograph new images of stars, galaxies and exoplanets. The STEM Challenge will be followed by a trip to Newcastle University, where we will meet scientists working on the James Webb Space Telescope, perform some experiments, and showcase our findings from the STEM Challenge.
The STEM Challenge includes 5 in-class sessions, usually one day a week every week for 5 weeks, followed by a trip. Times and dates of the school sessions can be confirmed afterwards, but the trip dates have been decided already. Please choose a term with a trip date that suits your class.
