•Letters should preferably be 150 to 450 words, should refer to topics of interest to the community or an article that has appeared within the last thirty days, and must include the writer's name for publication. The Lion's Roar does not publish anonymous letters.
•Address your letter to the editor or the readers, not to any individuals.
•In your letter you should own your opinion; Keep it short; Start strong; Use your own words; Speak your truth; Reinforce with facts; and Ask the readers for action.
•Letters are subject to our Submissions Policies and Procedures
and our Comments and Moderation Policy
•All submissions are due the Friday prior to publication by 10:00 a.m. to be considered for the next issue.
•All submissions will be verified by The Lion's Roar staff and may be edited for grammar, libel, and space considerations.
Letters to the Editor should be exclusive to The Lion’s Roar. We do not often publish open letters or third-party letters and only do so when they provide a clear interest to our community. While letters from anyone are welcome, letters submitted from students, faculty, and staff of Southeastern will receive preference in our publication.
