School Site Council Needs You
Navigator Elementary, like all other public schools, is required to have a School Site Council. Think of it as a Board of Directors that reviews the specific plan for Navigator and how the budget will be spent. The School Site Council is where parents and teachers come together to review our SPSA; a plan that uses information from the previous year to plan and allocate resources. Every year we are in need of new members to fill vacancies left by those who have fulfilled their term. There are three meetings during the nine month school year and each is about an hour long. The council will not only accomplish some really great things for Navigator and make this school the best it can be, it will also ensure that we are abiding by the law and in turn receiving funds that help our school run.
