The Bob Koger Award
The Bob Koger Award is designed to recognize the kinds of tireless efforts in High School Theatre embodied by Bob Koger. He was a long­time coach/director/mentor in the St. Johns, MI public school system. He taught hundreds of students in theatre arts. After retirement, Bob has stayed active in MIFA Theatre Festivals, returning to the state event many times from his retirement home in Arizona. Nominees for this award are expected to exhibit the highest professional standards.

The Bob Koger Award was created to acknowledge his hard work, innovation and sacrifice, and also outstanding and hard working directors of High School Theatre in Michigan.

Criteria for nomination:
-Director nominees must be currently Directing MIFA Theatre Events in Michigan. (This may include Directors, assistant directors and/or parent volunteer directors.)
-Anyone may nominate a Director ­ Alumni, current student participants, parents and fellow coaches.
