Marry Me Philadelphia Wedding Officiant Contract Onsite & Offsite Elopements, Weddings & Photography. By making a payment and completing your reservation you acknowledge that these terms and conditions act as a contract between the couple and Marry Me Philadelphia ("MMP"). Acceptance of these terms and conditions in electronic format is the equivalent of signing a paper contract with MMP. This agreement must be signed in order to complete your reservation. YOU MUST OBTAIN A VALID PENNSYLVANIA MARRIAGE LICENSE IN ORDER TO BE LEGALLY MARRIED All Marry Me Philadelphia Officiants or Affiliates are legally ordained ministers, fully qualified to officiate wedding ceremonies and solemnize the rites of marriage in all jurisdictions.Marry Me Philadelphia reserves the right to assign and/or reassign your Officiant at any time for any reason. In the event of a change in Officiant, Marry Me Philadelphia will make all efforts necessary to notify the couple in advance of any changes. Marry Me Philadelphia will handle all payments to the reassigned Officiant. Marry Me Philadelphia and the reassigned Officiant shall in no way be held responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever. Marry Me Philadelphia makes every possible effort to honor your preferred Officiant requests. Your Officiant shall complete and execute the marriage license and file said license in accordance with the instructions set forth by the jurisdiction from where the license was obtained. Your Officiant will arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time, fully presentable and prepared for your wedding. CLIENT The Client understands that they must obtain a Marriage License at the appropriate jurisdiction for which the ceremony will be performed and shall provide such Marriage License to the Officiant to review and execute on the day or the ceremony or at the Rehearsal if a rehearsal is contracted. The Officiant cannot and will not perform a marriage ceremony without receiving the appropriate valid Marriage License PRIOR to the ceremony.The Client shall not change the date, time or location of the ceremony as agreed upon without first contacting and advising Marry Me Philadelphia of said change so as to determine if there is an Officiant available to perform the ceremony. Couple must purchase their own ceremonial ritual items (unity candle, unity sand, etc.)The Client understands and recognizes that Marry Me Philadelphia Officiants perform other wedding ceremonies for other couples and changes of date, time and/or location without first notifying Marry me Philadelphia, or any excessive lateness of the originally scheduled wedding ceremony time may create a serious conflict with Marry Me Philadelphia scheduled wedding ceremonies and may prevent the Officiant from performing your ceremony. If the time, date and/or location changes, or excessive lateness of more than a 30 minute delay occur, Marry Me Philadelphia and the Officiant reserve the right to cancel the performance of your ceremony and shall in no way be held responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for nonperformance. If Marry Me Philadelphia determines that your change in date, time and/or location can be accommodated, a new agreement shall be entered into reflecting the new date, time and location and possible a new ceremony performance fee as a result of a substantially further distance to the new location. Additional fees will be due paid with the submission of the new agreement.The Client understands that any changes to the package inclusions may encounter additional fees if they exceed the items included in the initial package. If services go beyond the outlined details of the package and an additional fee is assessed, dues are paid prior to the signing of the marriage license. Package downgrades are prohibited.The Client agrees that any photographs taken by Marry Me Philadelphia associates of the wedding ceremony and/or rehearsal become the property of Marry Me Philadelphia and can be used for promotional purposes on social media networks, websites and the internet and in advertisements for Marry Me Philadelphia via any media outlet. The Client agrees to review the ceremony reading prior to the ceremony and sign for approval of the ceremony reading. Marry Me Philadelphia and Officiants are not held liable under any circumstance for discrepancies after ceremony approval is received. The Client agrees to contact Colleen McDermott in the event of any and all discrepancies immediately. The Client must contact Colleen McDermott prior to posting any negative feedback on the internet or any other outlet and/or speaking poorly on Marry Me Philadelphia and Marry Me Philadelphia Officiants. Marry Me Philadelphia will attempt to resolve discrepancy immediately and amicably within a two week time frame of initial notice of complaint.The Client is fully aware that canceling a wedding for any reason is not entitled to a refund. A $150.00 rescheduling fee will be incurred. The Client understands that Marry Me Philadelphia reserves the right to cancel appointments for meetings and onsite packages if the Client is more than 15 minutes early or late, without notice. Marry Me Philadelphia will make every attempt to accommodate clients who are running late but is not required to notify the Client and cannot be held responsible for the client that cannot be reached. Client agrees that Marry Me Philadelphia will not be held liable or responsible for meetings or weddings canceled under these circumstances.CANCELLATION POLICY All payments become non­refundable and non­transferable upon booking. Cancellations will not be refunded. If a couple needs to cancel a scheduled wedding date for any reason, we will make every attempt to reschedule the date based on our availability but there is no guarantee another suitable date will be available. Previously paid packages will not be applied towards the new date if the new date is more than 3 days after than the original date. A $150.00 rescheduling fee will be added to the package price of any reservation made after 3 days of the cancellation.FEES AND PAYMENTS All elopement packages and weddings less than 30 days away must be paid in full to complete the reservation. Wedding packages can be secured with a $200 deposit. Final payment is due 30 days prior to the ceremony. Packages booked less than 30 days in advance may incur a $125 .00 last­minute booking fee. Packages booked outside of normal business hours (Wednesday – Saturday between 11am – 7pm) are subject to a $100 fee. (We are willing to perform marriages 24/7) Packages that take place on major holidays are subject to a $100.00 fee. Holidays include but are not limited to: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine's Day, Saint Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, Memorial Day & weekend, Independence Day, Labor Day & weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving & weekend, Christmas week. Late arrival by more than 15 minutes is subject to cancellation, rescheduling or lessening duration of the event and will be subject to late fees at $25 every 15 minutes, and/or rescheduling fees which are due immediately and prior to the signing of the marriage license. TRAVEL Travel to offsite weddings of over 10 miles (one way) from Marry Me Philadelphia shall be charged at $1 per mile (round trip). Mileage is determined by using Google Maps. All toll and parking expenses are the responsibility of the Client and will be incorporated into your quote. Unexpected fees incurred while traveling are the responsibility of the couple and shall be paid prior the signing of the marriage license.GENERAL PROVISIONS The Officiant shall arrive at the wedding location approximately 15-­45 minutes prior to the time of the wedding ceremony and/or reception. Onsite weddings will open 15 minutes prior to start time. The Client fully understands and agrees that the Officiant shall not be responsible or held liable in the event the Officiant is prohibited from performing the Clients wedding ceremony due to illness, hospitalization, auto accident, transportation breakdown/disruption, traffic difficulties, acts of God such as hurricanes or inclement weather or other unforeseen incapacitation or other cause of non­arrival on the day of the ceremony. Marry Me Philadelphia and the Officiant will make every attempt to notify the Client and/or venue and to provide for a substitute Officiant who can perform a wedding ceremony if time and resources permit. In any event, The Officiant, his agents and assigns shall NOT be held liable for any compensation or any damages (including punitive) due to nonperformance of any ceremony/function resulting from such incapacitations, non­arrival, errors and/or omissions of any type. This agreement or any attachments constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and may not be modified except in writing signed by both parties or by the acknowledgement of email received by both parties. No other representations or promises have been made except those that are set out in this agreement. Only Colleen McDermott may sign approval on any documents. If any part of this agreement is adjudged invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining parts shall not be affected and remain in full force and effect. Marry Me Philadelphia reserves the right, at any time, to change these Terms of Contract.ONSITE ELOPEMENTS AND WEDDINGS This portion DOES NOT apply to offsite weddings. Couples must adhere to guest count guidelines. Additional witnesses will not be permitted entry – no exceptions. Couple must purchase their own ceremonial ritual items (unity candle, unity sand, etc.) Couple and witnesses/guests must arrive on time. Doors open 10 minutes prior to the ceremony start time and will be locked no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be permitted entry. The couple is responsible for any damages to MMP property caused by themselves or by guests. The couple must arrive fully dressed for the ceremony – we do not have a changing area.No outside food or beverage is permitted. No outside vendors (photographer, caterer, dj, etc.) are permitted. By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to comply with the terms and conditions listed in this document. By signing this document, you acknowledge that you understand that deposits and payments are non­refundable. *
