Marry Me Philadelphia Wedding Chapel Terms and Conditions Onsite & Offsite Elopements, Weddings & Photography. By making a payment and completing your reservation you acknowledge that these terms and conditions act as a contract between the couple and Marry Me Philadelphia ("MMP"). Acceptance of these terms and conditions in electronic format is the equivalent of signing a paper contract with MMP. This agreement must be signed in order to complete your reservation. YOU MUST OBTAIN A VALID PENNSYLVANIA MARRIAGE LICENSE IN ORDER TO BE LEGALLY MARRIED All Marry Me Philadelphia Officiants or Affiliates are legally ordained ministers, fully qualified to officiate wedding ceremonies and solemnize the rites of marriage in all jurisdictions.Pricing and packages are subject to change at any time. MMP reserves the right to change these Terms at any time.Both payment and the terms and conditions must be received to guarantee your wedding date and time and confirm your reservation. Full payment 30 days prior to your wedding date is required. If payment is not received your event will be removed from the calendar. All elopement packages and weddings booked less than 30 days in advance must be paid in full.The Client shall not change the date, time or location of the ceremony as agreed upon. The Client understands and recognizes that changes of date, time and/or location will incur a $150 rescheduling fee and is subject to availability. The rescheduling fee is due prior to securing the new date, time and/or location. MMP does not guarantee availability of your new date, time and/or location. Client must reschedule within 3 business days or all monies paid will be forfeited and a new package payment will be required to schedule again. The Client understands that cancellations are non-refundable. MMP does not issue refunds under any circumstance or for any reason. The Client understands that any excessive lateness (15+minutes) of the originally scheduled wedding ceremony time may create a serious conflict with other scheduled MMP events and may prevent the Officiant from performing your ceremony. For onsite events, if MMP is able to accommodate your late arrival, client agrees to pay late fee of $25/15m. Client must pay late fee prior to the signing of the marriage license. Client understands that lateness will shorten the allotted time for their event. MMP will make every attempt to accommodate clients who are late but is not required to notify the Client and cannot be held responsible for the Client that cannot be reached. Client agrees that MMP will not be held liable or responsible for cancellations and/or non-performance of ceremony due to offsite lateness of ceremony start time or onsite early arrival or late arrival by 15+.The Client understands that MMP cannot guarantee accommodation of any last minute changes to the ceremony time, location or script.Client must provide their own ceremony ritual items (unity candle, unity sand, breaking of the glass etc.)MMP reserves the right to cancel your event and/or the performance of your ceremony if the client becomes hostile, uncooperative or makes MMP associate(s) feel uncomfortable. MMP shall in no way be held responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for non­performance and/or cancellation. The Client understands that package downgrades are prohibited.The Client agrees that any photographs taken by MMP Officiants and/or Photographers become the property of MMP and can be used for promotional purposes on social media networks, websites and the internet and in advertisements via any media outlet. The Client agrees to contact Colleen McDermott prior to posting any negative feedback on the internet or any other outlet. MMP will attempt to resolve discrepancy immediately and amicably within a two week time frame of initial notice of complaint. MARRIAGE LICENSE In order to be legally married in Pennsylvania, the client must obtain a marriage license from the appropriate jurisdiction. The marriage license must be obtained at least 3 days but no more than 60 days prior to the scheduled wedding date. The couple must furnish the marriage license on wedding day.The PA marriage license in perforated into 3 sections: Officiant copy, Keepsake certificate & Duplicate certificate. The client will receive the keepsake certificate on wedding day. The officiant will mail back the Duplicate certificate back to the appropriate jurisdiction within 10 days of the wedding. For Philadelphia County marriage licenses, the couple must hand-deliver the duplicate certificate back to City Hall in person. The jurisdiction can take 6-8 weeks to process your certified certificate. Please contact the appropriate jurisdiction to obtain your certified certificate. MMP will not be held liable for any lost documents or documents that the jurisdiction does not receive. In the event the jurisdiction does not receive the duplicate certificate, it is the responsibility of the client to contact the jurisdiction and obtain a new duplicate certificate for the officiant to fill out. The client is responsible to mail or hand deliver the new duplicate certificate to the appropriate jurisdiction. Client agrees to pay $75 administration fee for any additional signings of the marriage license. MMP shall not be held liable for errors and/or omissions of any type. Symbolic ceremonies and vow renewals do not require a marriage license. FEES AND PAYMENTS All elopement packages and weddings less than 30 days away must be paid in full to complete the reservation. Wedding & Let’s Celebrate packages can be secured with a $200 deposit. Final payment is due 30 days prior to the ceremony. A $125 fee may be applied to any package that is scheduled last-minute (less than 7 days in advance), outside of normal business hours (Wednesday – Saturday 11am-7pm) or that take place on major holidays. Holidays include but are not limited to: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine's Day, Saint Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, Memorial Day & weekend, Independence Day, Labor Day & weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving & weekend, Christmas week. OFFSITE EVENTS ONLY Travel to offsite weddings of over 5 miles (one way) from MMP will be charged at $1 per mile (round trip). All toll and parking expenses are the responsibility of the Client and will be incorporated into your total package fee. Unexpected fees incurred while traveling are the responsibility of the Client and shall be paid prior the signing of the marriage license.The Officiant will arrive at the wedding location at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled ceremony start time.The Client fully understands and agrees that MMP shall not be responsible or held liable in the event the Officiant is prohibited from performing the Clients wedding ceremony due to illness, hospitalization, auto accident, transportation breakdown/disruption, traffic difficulties, acts of God such as hurricanes or inclement weather or other unforeseen incapacitation or other cause of non­arrival on the day of the ceremony. MMP will make every attempt to notify the Client and/or venue and to provide for a substitute Officiant who can perform a wedding ceremony if time and resources permit. In any event, MMP, The Officiant, his agents and assigns shall NOT be held liable for any compensation or any damages (including punitive) due to nonperformance of any ceremony/function resulting from such incapacitations, non­arrival. ONSITE EVENTS ONLY Client agrees not to bring more than the approved number of guests for their package. Client understands that extra guests will not be permitted entry.Client must arrive fully dressed and ready for ceremony.No outside food or beverage is permitted. No outside vendors (photographer, caterer, dj, etc.) are permitted. The Client agrees to arrive on time for their scheduled appointment. The Client agrees not to arrive more than 15 minutes early or late. Early or late arrivals by 15 minutes of more by Client or guests will not be accommodated and will be denied entry into MMP premises.The Client and guests may not park in the 7-11 parking lot. MMP is not responsible for parking tickets or towed vehicles incurred by a client and/or their guests. The Client and guests may not open and/or blow bubbles inside the premises. The Client assumes full responsibility for all guests.The Client assumes financial responsibility for any damaged property at MMP that occurs during their event. The client must arrange to pay for any and all damages that take place during their event. MMP will not sign marriage license until damages have been fully compensated. *
