Remote Mentoring Request for Catrobat
Do you want a Catrobat mentor to help you for up to 15 minutes with a Google Code-in coding task that you have claimed, anonymously, through your phone using screen sharing, voice, and possibly also chatting?

An available mentor will help you using the Zoom app available from Google Play at https://catrob.at/Zoom --- please install this app and familiarize yourself with it. Zoom allows you to show the mentor your phone's screen, the mentor can highlight areas on your screen with a marker pen, and you can chat and talk to your mentor.

Find the tutorial to connect with your mentor and how to use Zoom here: https://catrob.at/HowToZoom

Voice is supported directly by Zoom, and/or you can also chat with your mentor within the app.

Please enter below what are possible times for you, how an available mentor should contact you, and any additional information listed.

Note that you must have claimed a Google Code-in "coding" type of task, and that the mentoring is limited to that task. Please prepare a few questions and list them below. During the remote session, you will be able to ask additional questions.

In case a mentor is available for one of the date & time slots that you indicated, he or she will contact you with that date & time slot. You will then need to confirm the date+time to the mentor, and be ready for the session at the time slot, and the mentor will reconfirm the appointment. At the agreed date and time, make sure your phone is sufficiently charged and has good internet connectivity, and that you are at a place where there is not too much background noise (if possible please use earphones with a mike). You or the mentor may cancel or terminate a session at any time for any reason. Please just make sure to communicate a cancellation as early as possible to your assigned mentor. If a mentor has to cancel, he or she will try to arrange for a replacement. You may request only one remote mentoring session at any time, but once it is finished or timed-out, you are free to request a new session by filling out this form again.

Please only register through this form after you have shown this sheet to one of your parents or your legal guardian. During the remote session, you might want to have your parent or legal guardian listening in. You can also record the remote session, and we encourage you to do so. Certain phones, e.g., phones from Huawei, have a built-in screen recorder that can also record your voice. Otherwise, you might try, e.g., the DU Recorder or AZ Screen Recorder apps freely available on Google Play. Please note that on the mentor's side, we will also record screen and voice during the session and transcribe the session for research, quality assurance, and safety reasons.
