About the eROSA Project: The strategic goal of the e-ROSA project is to provide guidance to European Commission’s policies by designing and laying the groundwork for a long-term programme. Goal of this program is to construct an e-infrastructure for open science in agriculture and food sciences that would position Europe as a major global player at the forefront of research and innovation in the world. Through a foresight approach, the project has a shared vision of future sustainable e-infrastructures for open science in agriculture and food sciences and makes it operable through pragmatic recommendations that are reflected in a common roadmap described in this document.
About the bibliometric analysis: the eROSA Project ran a study based on the analysis of selected publication records that are simultaneously related to the fields of data and agriculture in the broad sense of those terms. We make no claims on comprehensiveness as the study consists in a first scoping step. Also, we do not aim to qualify excellence through this analysis as we have rather focused on the understanding of “who does what” and the network of collaborations. The analysed publications cover the period of the past decade 2005-2015 at the world scale.
