Introduction

Welcome to the VGA family.

Whether you are new to Goalball or are returning for another season, we cannot wait to see what you will achieve throughout the year. Most importantly, we want everyone to have fun at Goalball.

To take part in Goalball, you will need to apply for an annual membership by completing this form. When applying for membership, you may be required to provide information about Victorian Working with Children's Checks (WWCC) and First Aid qualifications. If you have either of these certifications, please have them on hand to assist you in completing your membership form.

VGA is a child safe association committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and young people. All applications for members under the age of 18 years must be completed by a parent or guardian who is at least 18 years of age.

Privacy Statement

VGA needs to have accurate information about it’s members. We want to ensure Goalball happens in a safe and fun environment. As an association, we need to make sure members are covered by our Public Liability or Volunteer Accident Insurance and that we are doing our best to reduce risks. For this reason, we need to know about any health, dietary or disability concerns members may have in addition to low vision.

In accordance with Victorian Privacy Laws, members' information is kept confidential by VGA. It is only accessible to members of the Committee of Management and First Aid Officers. It will be used to maintain our commitment to safety and to inform members about Goalball events.

VGA operates under a no pay, no play policy. This is because our insurance will not cover individuals who have not paid their fees. We understand that money can be tight. As we really value members' participation, we can discuss flexible arrangements for members who need some extra support.
