🐝ミツロウラップとは？

ミツロウラップは、みつばちが作り出した「ミツロウ」（はちの巣）を布に染み込ませて作ります。ミツロウは、温めると柔らかくなり、冷えると固まる性質があるため、手の温もりで形を自由に変えられます。その特徴を活かして、皆さんが普段使っているプラスチックのラップと同じように、野菜を包んだり、お皿のフタ代わりに使ったり、サンドイッチを包んだりと、さまざまな用途に使えます。

・洗って繰り返し使えるので、環境にとても優しいです。

・食品や器にフィットし、包みやすく、誰でも簡単に使えます。

今回は、カラフルでかわいいアフリカ布を使って、ミツロウラップを手作りします！

また、アイロンを使って作成するため、原則小学生以上（小学生以下は保護者同伴）の参加とさせていただきます。

"Eco-Friendly! Beeswax Wrap Workshop" 🌱

🐝 What is a Beeswax Wrap?
Beeswax wraps are made by infusing fabric with “beeswax,” which is produced by honeybees to build their hives. Beeswax softens with heat and hardens when cooled, making it easy to shape with the warmth of your hands. Thanks to this feature, it can be used in many ways just like plastic wrap—wrapping vegetables, covering dishes, or wrapping sandwiches.

  • Reusable and Washable: Great for the environment.

  • Easy to Use: Molds to food and containers for a snug fit.

In this workshop, we’ll make beeswax wraps using colorful and cute African fabrics!
