What is a LAOUT Link?! Great question. A LAOUT Link is our connection between our league participants, the Commissioner, our field sites, and our after-game social venues. You're there to make sure the LAOUT league experience runs smoothly, people are having fun, and venues are safe and secure. We'll onboard and assign week #1 Links by Saturday, June 3rd.
DUTIES:
- Most Link shifts will be 7:30 PM to 10:30PM
- Show up 30 minutes before games start to put out cones and scoreboards, make sure gates are open and lights are on or about to be turned on, other field users are alerted that our games are about to begin and we have a permit
- Report to the League Commissioner and LAOUT Field Coordinator if there are any issues
- Log game scores in LAOUT's Ultimate Central platform
- Find a captain to collect the equipment and bring it to the social venue
- Announce the soft cap when there are 10 minutes left on our field permit, ask teams to end their game 5 minutes before our allotted time and to clean up and leave promptly
- Head to the social venue early & secure one pitcher of water & one pitcher of beer per team at field site
- Submit receipts within 24 hours for prompt reimbursement
- Must be 21+ AND have transportation options to at least one of LAOUT's current field sites and after-game venues
- 21+ college students and flexibly employed or unemployed folks will be prioritized; significant others who don't play are great candidates as well; players may apply as well, although they will only be paid $20 for nights when they are are playing
PAY:
- Links are independent contractors that are paid based on the number if sites and game nights they work
- Pay is $50/night ($20 if the Link is a player that evening) plus a beverage at the after-game social venue if so desired
- Payment (and reimbursements) will be delivered via PayPal every two weeks
