Playthrough 2020 NPC Application
Please complete the short form below if you are interested in helping out at the event.
What is Playthrough?
Playthrough is a convention for gamers made by gamers. Whether you're into the latest and greatest from AAA companies, prefer checking out smaller indie developers, reminiscing in the past on the old school arcades, or just a fan of rolling some dice on the tabletop, Playthrough has a bit of something for everyone!

Playthrough takes place each year at the Raleigh Convention Center (500 S Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27601). The dates for this year's event are March 21 & 22, 2020.
What's an NPC?
No convention can function without a group of amazing people that go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly! To us, the NPCs represent the heart and soul of our convention. Warriors, entertainers, information guides, teachers, and quest givers, our NPCs play every role needed to ensure an amazing show. Being an NPC inducts you into a community of other awesome like-minded people who share the same enthusiasm and passion for the industry. Our NPCs play a very special part in making Playthrough fun and engaging for everyone.

Before signing up, realize that being an NPC is not the same as being an attendee at the show. Being an NPC means that you are a part of the show. You will have to wear a lot of different hats, sometimes swapping between entertainment, information, and security, with the end goal that everyone has a good time. It means becoming a part of a tight knit group of individuals dedicated towards the overall enjoyment and progression of gaming. You are a representation of Playthrough, the staff and the other NPCs donating their time and effort to something they are truly passionate about. If this sounds like something for you, please feel free to sign up today. We look forward to hearing from you! Additionally, you will be showered in love and appreciation from staff and fans alike... which is pretty freaking awesome!

NPCs will be expected to work two 6-hour shifts between both days. The hours will be between 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Raleigh Convention Center. We will make introductions, explain what stations you will be working, eat pizza and generally have a fun time. NPCs will receive a complimentary two day pass, as well as a t-shirt for working the show. It is recommended that other NPCs join us as well to get familiar with the floor layout, see where they will be situated, and receive their t-shirt for the con!
