Roshan Aaj Library - Call for Volunteers
Akhter Hameed Khan Resource Center, with the support of the U.S. Embassy, has setup a library for underprivileged children in Dhok Hassu (an urban slum in Rawalpindi). The library aims to promote a culture of reading, storytelling, English classes, and practical literacy in school-age children in low-income communities

We are currently looking university/college students and professionals to serve as mentors for children enrolled in the library. The mentors will conduct storytelling sessions, dialogues, workshops or general discussions with the children to serve as role models and to help children with their cognitive, social & emotional development.

If you'd like to sign up to volunteer for the program, kindly fill in the application form below. For any questions or details, feel free to reach out at sumbal@ahkrc.org.
