The SLU monologues - Submission page
Thank you for visiting the SLU Monologues submission page! This page allows members of our community to submit their stories for consideration to be performed in the annual production put on by Una in February.

We do not have a specific prompt, but we are looking for pieces that have to do with shaping identity or your sense of self. This story can be told as a poem, a narrative, a rant, or whatever you feel is best!

We suggest that your submissions be limited to 750 words. If your story is longer, feel free to submit it and we can talk about editing it down so we can fit in as many pieces as possible. We still want your story to be told!

Please read and answer the questions below. Thank you for choosing to submit your monologue!

If you do not want to disclose your name, it is not required.

Relationship to the SLU community
Would you like to remain anonymous in the program?
Would you like to perform your own piece?
If you choose yes, you do not have to audition but you will be expected to attend two rehearsals a week for about five weeks. If you submit more than one and more than one is chosen, you will need to choose one of your pieces to perform and we will get in contact with you if needed.
Our intent is to eventually publish a collection of our submitted Monologues. Would you agree to have your work included?
In clicking "I agree" you are agreeing to submit your piece to Una for SLU Monologues. This entails giving Una the ability to edit as needed.
In staying with Una's mission, we are committed to telling your story and will keep the integrity of your story to the best of our ability.
