The McGuffin Grant 2019
Here at McGuffin Creative Group, we believe in the power of a good cause. And we know all the ways persuasive, authentic marketing can transform an organization, both inside and out.

That’s why we launched The McGuffin Grant. Awarded once a year to a 501(c)(3) working to help people or the planet, The McGuffin Grant provides recipients with $25,000 worth of creative strategies and design solutions that help you communicate more persuasively, more purposefully and more powerfully.

Helping your brand speak volumes.
Whether your goal is energizing fundraising efforts, sharpening an advocacy message or engaging a constituency, McGuffin Creative Group works with you to pinpoint the right tools for the job. Then we bring those tools to life through visuals and words. All the work we deliver — from logo and identity systems to websites to promotional materials — is backed by a thorough exploration of where you are today and where you want to go. Every direction we recommend is a result of what we learn about you and the space you operate in.

For that reason, we encourage (demand, actually) the participation of all your stakeholders. We think engaging everyone on your team up front is the best way to uncover those “a-ha” insights that inform the best communications.

In the end, what you receive as a McGuffin Grant recipient is more than just carefully conceived and beautifully designed visual communications. We leave you with a reinvigorated brand, and equip you with the know-how to make the most of it long after we’re gone.

What We’re Looking For.
Given its scope, The McGuffin Grant seeks nonprofits who find themselves with a distinct goal to meet or a specific challenge to overcome — groups with a targeted, discrete communications need. Maybe you want to make a big splash with your annual fundraiser. Perhaps you need to replenish a dwindling volunteer base with a big awareness push. It could be you need an eye-popping campaign to energize your major donors. In any case, our goal is to understand and help refine your objectives, and craft the kinds of creative executions and tactics that get you where you want to go.

The McGuffin Grant doesn’t cover printing costs, although we’ll work with you to make sure the materials we produce fit your budget. Plus, we’ll introduce you to some very nice, and very cooperative, print vendors.

Likewise, the grant doesn’t cover the cost of all web development. We’ll handle the architecture and design then provide scope and resources for anything that is outside our internal capabilities.

The McGuffin Grant application process.

2. The review process will last approximately three weeks after the deadline. Applicants may be requested for an informal interview before a decision is made.

3. Finalist will be notified in early May.
