Survey of Health Care Careers Course - Including Mental Health/Behavioral Health Career Exploration

Course Description: This program is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills necessary to work in various mental health settings.  Students will gain an understanding of the prevalence of mental health issues and the various mental health careers available. This program is funded by the Lisle Township Mental Health Board, Endeavor Health Community Investment Fund, and other generous partners (see website). The program is a collaboration between KidsMatter, KidsMatter Senior High Board, College of DuPage, Naperville Community Unit School District 203, Indian Prairie School District 204, Elmhurst School District 205, Lisle School District 202, and Benet Academy, Endeavor Health, which includes Edward Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health and other key partners (see website).

Monday & Wednesday 8:00 am - 10:50 am - Lisle High School

Thursday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm - John Shadowing / Field Experience

May include some Hybrid experiences
