Let's Talk About Teen/Youth Dating Violence
Sikh Family Center seeks YOUR support! Teen/youth dating violence is real, but together we can break the silence and build a safer healthier tomorrow. By working together, we can PREVENT abuse from occurring in the first place and protect each other from long-term harm.

Take a few minutes to answer the optional questions below. Your input will be used to help raise awareness about dating violence and inspire change across our community.

All responses are ANONYMOUS!  Your email address will NOT be saved on this Google Form. Experiences can reflect not just personal relationships but also ones you've witnessed around you.

Remember to breathe, stretch, and take breaks as you complete the form.

Thank you for joining us to make a difference.

What would you like to share with adults in your life about teen/youth dating violence (including emotional, physical, verbal, psychological, cyber abuse)? Some ways people abuse in relationships include not respecting your boundaries, blaming you for their mistakes, separating you from your friends, asking for your online passwords, physically hurting you, stalking you, etc.
What do you wish adults in our community did differently to help young people recognize unhealthy relationship behaviors/spot red flags in a relationship?
What kind of tech abuse have you noticed in relationships around you -- things like nonstop texting, demanding passwords, checking phones without permission. What would you want adults to know about these behaviors?
If a friend told you they were in an unhealthy relationship, what would you do?
What do you think is the biggest reason young people don’t report abuse or seek help in relationships?
Who/what are the biggest influences in your life when it comes to thinking about current or future relationships? (e.g. cousins, parents, IG celebs, Gurus, lives from Sikh history, social media etc.)
Do you remember an adult ever speaking with you about dating? What was their message to you?
Are you worried that you might have been hurtful to someone in a relationship?
